Revision Military's Batlskin system is a modular head protection platform that extends helmet coverage to include the lower face (mandible) and eyes (visor). For entry operations, vehicle crews, or high-fragmentation environments, full-face coverage represents a meaningfully different protection level than a helmet alone.
Exposed lower face is a vulnerability in all standard tactical helmets. The Batlskin mandible guard attaches to the helmet shell and provides NIJ IIIA coverage across the jaw and lower face. For explosive fragmentation threats — the primary cause of facial injuries in modern conflicts — mandible protection is operationally significant.
The mandible and visor are removable independently. In low-threat situations, the base helmet can be worn without attachments. The full system deploys for high-threat scenarios.
