Paraclete is a BAE Systems subsidiary that supplies US Special Operations Command with soft armor, plate carriers, and tactical gear. The ROC is their releasable carrier line — featuring a pull-tab quick-release system that drops the entire carrier in one motion for medical or emergency scenarios.
The ROC's quick-release system releases both shoulder straps and cummerbund simultaneously with a single pull. For casualty treatment, the ability to rapidly remove the carrier is the difference between accessible and inaccessible chest wounds. This is why quick-release is standard in professional plate carriers and absent in budget alternatives.
Paraclete's USSOCOM contracts provide manufacturing validation equivalent to Eagle Industries or Crye. The construction standards, material specifications, and QA processes are audited by government procurement.
