EXO Drones is an American brand in the consumer drone market. The Ranger+ provides GPS-assisted flight, 4K video, and 1km range at a $249 price point, built and supported domestically. For buyers with a preference for non-Chinese supply chains at the budget tier, EXO is the practical option.
Standard GPS feature set: position hold, return-to-home, orbit mode, and follow mode. Performance is on par with Holy Stone at this price tier — reliable in calm to moderate conditions. The brushless motors improve longevity over brushed-motor budget drones.
The 4K is EIS-stabilized without a gimbal. Same caveat as other EIS-only budget drones: watchable but not gimbal-smooth. Adequate for basic documentation.
If domestic supply chain matters at the budget tier, EXO is the option. If pure performance is the criterion, DJI wins at every price point. EXO earns its place for buyers where "made in America" (or at least "not DJI") is a requirement.
