Sub-249g, 38-min flight time, 4K video — at $469. The Mini 3 is the most affordable path into the DJI ecosystem for operators who don't need the Pro's extras.

The DJI Mini 3 is the Mini 4 Pro without extended features: same sub-249g weight class, same 4K video quality, shorter flight time (38 vs 34 minutes), and downgraded to front/rear-only obstacle avoidance. At $469 versus $759, the tradeoffs are worth evaluating.
The 1/1.3" CMOS sensor produces equivalent video quality to the Mini 4 Pro's main camera. 4K/30fps footage is excellent. The OcuSync 4.0 transmission maintains the same 15km range. For basic ISR and documentation, the Mini 3 delivers Mini 4 Pro image quality.
Front/rear-only obstacle avoidance means side and bottom are unprotected. No 4K/60fps (max 4K/30fps). No ActiveTrack 360 subject tracking. No portrait/landscape mode switching. For pure ISR work where maneuverability matters, these gaps are acceptable — for dynamic environments, upgrade to the Mini 4 Pro.
The DJI Mini 3 is the right entry point for DJI's ecosystem at $469. When you're ready for the full feature set, the upgrade path to Mini 4 Pro is clear.
